First things first—this is NOT an essential oil. It’s a pure resin extract of frankincense.

Because frankincense essential oil (the one used in aromatherapy) usually doesn’t contain boswellic acids. Great for diffusers, yes. Great for skin… not really.
Our resin extract is naturally rich in boswellic acids- the part that’s suddenly all over the internet for its firming, tightening, & strengthening skin benefits. And honestly? The hype makes sense. People are also calling it "nature's retinol".
How to use it?
Add 1–2 drops to your moisturizer as a daily booster.
Or mix a drop into your face masks.
Or use it as a facial oil on damp skin (just keep it away from the eyes—it may sting).
Aarushi’s note: Whenever I use this oil, I wake up with a subtle shine on my face. My skin feels just like it does after a good sheet mask—love it. And a little discovery I love: massaging a few drops on my neck and wrists works as the prettiest, mild natural perfume.
Smell & texture: Smells exactly like frankincense resin temple-like, earthy, slightly citrus-resin, sensitive nose might find it strong. It has a silky texture. Even though it absorbs quickly because of Jojoba Oil base, it does have a heavy feel to it on the skin.

How is Frankincense Oil made? Frankincense Oil can be made by two methods – by steam distillation which produces an essential oil, or by extracting the resin compounds in an oil or alcohol. Steam distilled Frankincense Essential Oil is great for aromatherapy but not suitable for skincare as it doesn’t contain boswellic acids. Our organic Frankincense Oil is made by resin extraction in oil so it retains boswellic acids that are beneficial for skincare.
Frankincense Oil benefits for skin: Pure Frankincense Resin Oil, if created the right way, contains boswellic acids that improve skin resilience and firmness, smoothen skin texture, and make skin more resilient to environmental stress. How to use Frankincense Oil on face? Just 1–2 drops are enough as:

Can I apply Frankincense Oil directly to skin? Frankincense Resin Extract Oil can be applied directly to skin. Never use Frankincense Essential Oil for skincare.
Comedogenic Rating: Made in a base of Jojoba Oil, it has a comedogenic rating of 0–1, making it the least comedogenic oil.
Texture: The texture is silky yet slightly cushioned – lighter than most facial oils but more rounded than plain jojoba. It absorbs a little slower due to the resin compounds, leaving a soft protective film rather than an oily residue. Skin feels nourished, calm, and supple.
